Fundamentals of Brake Operations consists of six modules covering the topics of a basic introduction to sheet metal bending, press brakes and forming methods, bend functions, punches, dies and safety. The content of each module is then delivered using a combination of audio instructions, diagrams, photographs, flash videos, simulations, case studies, interactive games, and review questions to address a variety of learning styles.

About the Instructor
With more than 40 years experience in the sheet metal industry, Steve Benson is president of ASMA, a supplier of software, textbooks, and training for press brake operators and engineers. He has authored seven press brake texts, programmed related software, and currently publishes the Precision Sheet Metal Chronicle. Steve is an active member of FMA’s Precision Sheet Metal Technology Council.
